COSRT is committed to improving public protection and professional standards. The ethical principles that our members commit to abide by when they join our organisation, and the complaints process used to investigate allegations of misconduct are at the centre of that.
After many months work, COSRT has now launched a new and revised suite of policies covering these important areas. ‘Good Therapy – COSRT Code of Ethics and Practice’ now provides the framework within which COSRT Members must conduct their practice. Whilst the new COSRT 2019 Conduct Procedure represents a best practice-based redesign of the process by which complaints against Members are conducted, enabling a wider range of possible outcomes in the event of a complaint being brought. Our Practice Guidelines which outline good practice across a range of activity areas have also been rewritten and can also be found on the documents page.
All new policies and procedures are subject to ongoing review and a formal review at six months.
