Until 28th February certain frontline social care workers can self-refer for a Covid vaccination. Details of the process and eligible workers are included in this letter sent to English NHS vaccination centres.
The social care occupational groups eligible for self-referral vaccinations are:
- Direct care – these roles involve directly working with people who need care and support;
- Frontline suppliers with direct contact with clients;
- Social care support – these roles provide direct support functions to clients;
- Ancillary; and
- Regulated professionals – these roles require the worker to hold relevant qualifications and to be registered with a regulated body to practice.
COSRT Members should read the information contained in the letter and determine whether they are eligible. If you choose to self-refer and are successful in securing a slot, you will need photographic ID and written authorisation when attending your appointment. We advise members on the COSRT Register to also take their relevant COSRT Certificate.
