I have provided psychosexual therapy in the North of England for the past fifteen years, for men, women and couples experiencing a wide variety of sexual problems. I began my career in the NHS in 1985 , qualifying in mental health, which I continue to enjoy. Over the years, I have gained extensive experience of treating a broad range of sexual problems and have developed specialist interests in sexual addiction & compulsivity and the medico-legal aspect of psychosexual psychotherapy. I work in an integrative way, drawing on many forms of treatment and am skilled in the use of hypnosis and EFT applied to psychosexual therapy and the specialist assessment and treatment of men, women and couples with psychosexual concerns. Since 2000 I have held the post of psychosexual psychotherapist in a regional NHS psychosexual medicine service and have also been in private practice since 2001 as a clinician, supervisor and trainer. I am a regular guest speaker and lecturer on psychosexual problems both locally and nationally; involved in the education and training of health care professionals in the assessment, treatment and management of sexual difficulties.

My interests in the medico-legal aspect of psychosexual psychotherapy includes assessment in preparation for medico-legal reports relating to medical negligence leading to expert witness testimony. I am a membership of StopSo, which is an expert panel of therapists skilled in working with sex offenders or those whose sexual practices cause them to cross the line.
