As a highly qualified and experienced psychotherapist I specialise in relational trauma, breakdown of communication & anxiety. I am currently working on-line and find that people appreciate the flexibility this allows for couples especially to find time for therapy. I have worked with families for a long time initially as a teacher & more recently as a counsellor & psychotherapist.I have also run a counselling agency in Watford as well as lecture counselling to degree level students. I now offer clinical supervision & courses to trainees locally.
My own therapy clinics focus on relational skills, communication & empathic listening whilst exploring issues of trauma, abuse & addictions. These days also a lot of the focus is around anxiety,stress & the fall out from Covid.
I enjoy helping couples work through issues ranging from communication breakdown, gender or addiction issues through to the relationship affects of childhood sexual abuse.  I also work with individuals with similar issues, trauma, bereavement etc. I prefer to work longer term as this allows the relational nature of therapy to develop and you to benefit from working at depth with your issues. I work holistically and have a spiritual under-girding to my approach which many clients appreciate.
