Emma Mathews

I am a BABCP, COSRT and EMDR Europe accredited psychotherapist and have extensive experience working within the NHS as a psychosexual therapist and a specialist midwife within perinatal mental health services. I worked for Relate as a psychosexual and relationship therapist for a number of years. I have completed a BSc in reproductive and sexual health, a postgraduate diploma in psychosexual therapy, a Relate certificate in relationship therapy, a postgraduate diploma in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) and EMDR Europe accredited training in eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR). I have also completed an MSc in psychological trauma and have a special interest in the treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I am currently employed by the NHS in Manchester as a psychosexual therapist.  I also have a private practice which offers psychosexual and relationship therapy, CBT and EMDR. I have private clinics in north Wales, Chester and on the Wirral. I also offering remote therapy via Zoom, WhatsApp, FaceTime.
