| Biography | As a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist it is my privilege to support you in working through tricky and sensitive subject matter. I promise to make therapy as comfortably as possible – no topic is taboo – and although at times challenging, I will guide you with care, compassion and when appropriate humour and lightness. The underpinning principles of my work are inclusivity, respect and acceptance. Gender, sexual and relationship diversity is central to these principles. I create a confidential, non-judgemental space in which to talk openly and straight-forwardly about any aspect of your sexual life, fantasies and kinks. My approach will be tailored to you and your primary reason for attending therapy. I draw on modes of thinking from various psychological theories: psychodynamic, CBT, transpersonal, transactional analysis, all supported within the framework of mindful enquiry to increase your self-awareness, autonomy and agency. I am a Registered Psychosexual Therapist and Relationship Therapist with professional body COSRT. As well as running my private practice in Battersea, I am a Senior Psychosexual Therapist for the NHS, as part of the Sexual Health South West London service, where I also support a team of trainee sex therapists. I’m a Registered Supervisor offering clinical supervision to qualifying and qualified therapists, specialising in psychosexual and relationship issues. For supervision inquiries, email gemma@gemmacozenstherapy.com Email to book a free 15 minute online consultation via Teams to talk more about what you are experiencing and what you would like to get out of therapy. |
