Therapists Profile

| Psychosexual Therapy Qualifications | Practical, highly specialist help for sexually anxious and depressed relationships and individuals. Due to demand, I have opened a Saturday morning clinic.
I have undergone rigorous training in sex and relationships. I am qualified and experienced to offer my professional services, having gained a Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Sexology and Relationship Therapy.
One of my specialisms is Out of Control Sexual Behaviours, and I am a PhD Research Scholar in Sex Addiction and Compulsive Sexual Behaviour. Knowledge gained from studying for this Doctor of Philosophy qualification goes back to my clients, who are at the heart of what I do. |
| Biography | Bespoke Sex and Relationship Therapy With a background in TV & Radio, communication is at the heart of my work. It is the key to the relationship with ourselves and in our relations with others.
Communication skills learnt whilst working in the media are now used to help individuals, couples and multiple partnered people communicate more effectively and with greater confidence.
I work exclusively with a small client base. I have undertaken additional training so I am COSRT Online Therapy trained and certified to deliver a safe therapeutic experience online. I also offer telephone sessions, and hold an accredited Certificate in Counselling Skills and Practice. This helps support clients further, especially with issues of sexual anxiety and depression.
Transparency
I have experience as a Psychosexual Therapist at Relate with private, NHS, Royal Air Force and University of Cambridge clients.
I work administratively for Pink Therapy.
I am a National Council of Integrative Psychotherapists Registered Practitioner. I also work for the NCIP.
My background is in Broadcast Journalism and I have a Master’s degree. I am also a qualified teacher and assessor. All of this rich life experience flows into the therapy room, which is sometimes dynamic, always a real learning experience, and often the only place where clients can express themselves, be seen and be heard.
I have lived experience of Sex and Relationship Diversity. |
| Types of Therapy Used | I create a unique therapy experience drawing on a variety of different types of therapy to suit each unique client called Pluralism. Some types of therapy I use include Human Givens, Somatic (no touch), Sex Therapy and CBT. There is no one size fits all in sex positivity and size acceptance. Working together we can identify goals – and with practical exercises – we can start working on what is going on and what needs to be put in place to help you feel better. |
