Biography

I am a COSRT accredited sexologist and relationship therapist, an accredited gender, sex and relationship diversities therapist with Pink therapy and a NCIP registered Contemporary Psychotherapist. I am an LGTBQIA ally and work with GSRD clients. I am knowledgeable and welcome polyamorous and consensual non-monogamous structures as well as being trans, non mainstream orientations, sex worker and kink friendly.

My work focusses a lot on battling shame and empowering people to find solutions that work for them. I do not believe in a one size fits all approach and work with clients to normalise their experiences on an individual level as well as considering the greater context and how society plays a role in these presenting issues.

Many people find it difficult to talk about sexual issues, but most will experience some type of sexual issue in their lives. Sex therapy is a type of therapy that focuses on helping individuals and couples address sexual problems or concerns. It is a form of talk therapy that involves discussing sexual issues in a safe and non-judgmental environment.

The goal of sex therapy is to help individuals and couples overcome their sexual difficulties, improve their sexual functioning, and enhance their overall sexual and relational satisfaction.

My approach considers all biological/social/cultural aspects of your lives and how these intersect and impact your sexuality.

Relationship therapy, also known as couples therapy is a form of therapy designed to help people in romantic relationships. Relationship therapy offers a supportive environment where we will work through your difficulties and find lasting solutions. Together we will unpack the issues you are facing, set goals and decide together how to work towards your joint relationship vision.

Sessions involve talking therapy, developing communication skills, psychoeducation plus at home interventions and exercises for you to try between sessions.
