Biography

Hello, my name is Rose Mazillius (she/they/Rose) and I am an integrative Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist working from my offices in Shoreditch, East London and Queen Anne Street, Central London.

If you have found your way to reading this, it is likely you are wondering about making some changes to your life. I offer short, medium and long term therapy for individuals, couples and people in multi-partner or non-monogamous relationships in-person from my offices in Shoreditch and Oxford Circus, as well as virtual sessions online.

I adopt a relational integrative approach, combining methods from person-centered, psychodynamic, cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT), gestalt, existential and attachment theory as well as somatic and mindfulness based practice to my way of working. I work on a humanistic level, recognising the uniqueness of each individual and the experiences they come with to therapy. It is my understanding that each person is their own best compass for living, my role is to help at a time where you’d like some assistance to navigate in certain areas which may be causing you and those around you distress.

I believe in therapy as a space for growth and healing, a space to tell your story, without judgement, and where you will be met with empathy and compassion. Therapy can also be challenging, and I may at times challenge you in certain areas of your thinking and behaviour that create sources of difficulty in your life. Through doing this, I hope therapy might offer you the chance to deepen the understanding you have of yourself and your ways of relating, as well as become more connected to your feelings and in turn to become the expert on yourself.

As a queer person, I have experience and knowledge of queer community culture and my practice works with the gender, sex and relationship diversity (GSRD) model, informing an openness to ways of being in gender, sex and relationships. Hailing originally from the West country, Bath & Bristol specifically, I’ve now lived in London for 10 years, working professionally in the arts and creative industries. Personal interests of mine span into philosophy and the arts, combining both creative and philosophical approaches into the therapeutic process. Having worked in arts management for a decade and managing large and diverse collectives of people for some of the UK’s most renowned establishments, I bring my experience of creative practice and diversity in to my practice as a therapist.

I aim to empower you to make active, conscious steps towards creating greater fulfilment and meaning in your life. It is my belief that from a position of greater self awareness, becoming more in touch with our emotional landscape, we can begin to make more informed decisions in our lives, create healthier connections to those we love, as well as bring ourselves into closer alignment with a life that feels purposeful and meaningful to us.
