Rose Buxton (formerly Rose Whiteley)

I am an experienced, Senior accredited psychotherapist, sex therapist and counsellor. I have special expertise / training in relationship and sexual issues, but I also work with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression and low self-esteem.

Relationship issues include growing apart, communication problems, arguments and conflict, sexual compulsivity, affairs and sexual difficulties of all kinds, including erectile problems, loss of desire and difficulties with orgasm. Gender and sexual diversity clients are very welcome, as are those in open or polyamorous relationships. I also see couples who are considering separation or divorce, and want to work things out as amicably as possible for themselves and/or their children.

In addition to 20 years in private practice, I have also worked at an inner city young people’s agency, an NHS Sex Therapy Clinic (The Porterbrook Clinic in Sheffield) and at a maximum-security prison. I also wrote a comprehensive set of leaflets on sexual dysfunction for The Porterbrook.
