Sally Openshaw

Sally is an integrative psychotherapist. This means that I believe that the relationship between the therapist and clients is vital to produce useful work and changes. I will provide a safe space for you to explore difficulties and tailor the therapy around your needs. I will use the skills of inquiry, attunement and involvement to understand your stories and help make sense of how the past can influence your current sexual relationships. I am happy to work with individual, couples and any combination of relationship groupings. I have completed an extra training in EMDR which is a technique used specifically for people who have experienced sexual trauma. I have also completed a training to work with sexual addiction. Alongside my work with clients, I run a counselling business called Towerhouse Counselling. I provide a wide range of training and have a specialist interest in shame and the erotic transference and counter transference between therapists and clients. As a supervisor I enjoy being alongside others, supporting them in their work as a therapists. I use the process model of supervision as my main theory for supervision. I live and work in beautiful rooms in N. Devon which provide a wonderful environment for reflection. I am willing to work online most supervisees and with some clients where it seems appropriate.
